Alliance for a Better Curriculum
ABC is dedicated to the promotion of a content-rich curriculum in the Montgomery County Public Schools.
Asian American Parents Advocacy Council
AAPAC supports Asian American children, youth, and parents, and fosters linkages between the Asian American community and the larger community, inclusive of all groups with diverse backgrounds.
Emotional Disabilities Action Group
EDAct advocates for students with emotional and behavior problems who are enrolled in Montgomery County Public Schools or who have been referred by the County to an out-of-county school. EDAct worksto establish programs with appropriate academic opportunities and effective therapeutic environments for these students.
Gifted and Talented Association of Montgomery County, Maryland
GTA provides information and advocacy supporting the conviction that all children, including those with outstanding abilities, deserve an appropriate education and opportunity to achieve their potential.
GT/LD Network
GT/LD Network provides information and advocacy on Gifted/Talented Learning Disabilities issues in the Montgomery County Public Schools, in private schools, and in home school environments.
MCneeds
MCneeds is a nonprofit organization that advocates for the rights of and improving the lives of the disabled and their families in Montgomery County and in the state of Maryland. Its members include parents, advocates, lawyers, teachers and many others. While its focus is primarily special education, MCNeeds advocates for and addresses other issues that impact the disabled population.
Teachers' Voice
Teachers' Voice is a group of MCPS teachers who believe that our expectations for higher student and teacher performance will be realized when we shift our focus from deficiencies in students,teachers, and overall resources to the structural imperatives of coherent, content-rich curricula, student assessment and placement, and connectionsto a broader range of post-secondary options.
